Ashley Gisell Velasquez Lemus

Ashley Velasquez Lemus is a Research and Policy Fellow at the LULAC national office in Washington, D.C. for Spring 2026. Originally from Sacramento, California, she is a student at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she is double majoring in Political Science and Labor Studies. At UCLA, Ashley is actively involved in several student organizations. She serves on the board of the First-Generation Pre-Law Association, is a peer advisor for the Political Science Undergraduate Council, and contributes to the Internal Vice President’s Office as part of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee. In addition to her campus involvement, Ashley works as a student assistant in the UCLA School of Law’s Student Affairs Office, where she provides administrative support, assists with event coordination, and helps maintain student records. Ashley is passionate about immigration law and civil rights. She plans to attend law school and pursue a career as an attorney, with the goal of advocating for underserved communities.
