Dianna Gonzalez

Dianna Gonzalez is a Research and Policy Fellow at LULAC's National Office in Washington, D.C., during the summer of 2026. Having grown up in Las Vegas, Nevada, she is a rising senior at Wellesley College, where she is double majoring in Computer Science and Education Studies.

As a first-generation college student and the daughter of Mexican immigrants, Dianna is deeply committed to expanding opportunities for Latino communities through research, technology, and education. At Wellesley, she serves as Vice President of the college's largest Latine student organization and has participated in several programs supporting first-generation students. This summer, she was selected as a fellow in the Wellesley-in-Washington program, where she also serves as a seminar chair.

Dianna works as a research assistant studying online information environments, with a particular focus on Latino communities, news credibility, and the reliability of digital information systems. Her research has examined disparities in Spanish- and English-language online content, and she recently co-authored a paper presented at the 18th ACM Web Science Conference titled Discrepancies in the Geotargeting of Spanish vs. English Google Search Results During the 2024 U.S. Elections. She is currently conducting research for her senior thesis, An Audit of English-Spanish Political LLM Content and Latino Intergenerational Digital Literacy.

Through her work, Dianna seeks to better understand how technology and information systems shape civic participation and access to information for Latino and Spanish-speaking communities. Following graduation, she plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Computational Social Science.
