Breanna Banda

Breanna Banda is a Research and Policy Fellow at LULAC's National Office in Washington, D.C., during the summer of 2026. Having grown up in California's agricultural communities and worked alongside farmworker families, she is pursuing a double major in Legal Studies and Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley.

As a first-generation college student, Breanna is passionate about immigrant rights, community advocacy, and expanding access to critical services for underserved communities. Her experiences in agricultural communities shaped her commitment to addressing the challenges facing Latino, immigrant, and farmworker families.

At UC Berkeley, she serves as an Outreach Coordinator with the Multicultural Institute, where she connects community members to immigration, health, and social services while leading outreach and community engagement efforts. She also works with the Student Advocacy Office as a Financial Aid Caseworker, helping students navigate appeals and institutional processes.

In addition, Breanna serves as Director of External Education for COMPAS, where she supports the development and delivery of English-language instruction for farmworkers and their families. Through her academic, professional, and advocacy work, she is committed to advancing opportunity for Latino and immigrant communities through policy, education, and direct service.

Following graduation, Breanna hopes to continue working at the intersection of law, public policy, and community advocacy.
