Ashley Colin serves as a Mass Media and Communications Fellow at LULAC's National Office in Washington, D.C., during the summer of 2026. Having grown up in Lancaster, California, she is a rising junior at the University of California, Irvine, where she is majoring in Political Science and Philosophy with a specialization in Law and Society.
As a first-generation college student, Ashley has embraced opportunities for leadership, advocacy, and public engagement on campus. She serves as President of the School of Humanities Student Council, competes in Moot Court, and contributes to her university's student newspaper as an assistant editor for the graphic design section.
Through her involvement in student government, Ashley advocates for undergraduate students and works to strengthen student engagement across campus. Her participation in Moot Court has also deepened her interest in constitutional law, civil rights, and legal advocacy.
Ashley is passionate about public service and expanding access to justice. Following graduation, she plans to attend law school and pursue a career as a civil rights attorney, advocating for individuals and communities whose voices are too often overlooked.
