Ana Paula Sanchez

Ana Paula Sanchez serves as a Mass Media and Communications Fellow at LULAC's National Office in Washington, D.C., during the summer of 2026. Originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, she is a rising senior at the University of California, Berkeley, where she studies Political Science with a minor in Political Economy.
At Berkeley, Ana has been an active advocate for Latino student engagement through her involvement with the Latin American Leadership Society, where she serves on the Marketing Committee and uses digital communications to expand outreach and connect with students across multiple languages. She is also involved with the Associated Students of the University of California, helping promote scholarship opportunities, academic programs, and student resources.
Ana is a Pathways Fellow, a program that supports students pursuing internships in Washington, D.C., and reflects her commitment to public service and increasing Latino representation in government and public policy. She also serves as the 2026–2027 Recruitment and Communications Director for Cal in the Capital, where she works to expand awareness of the program and increase access to professional opportunities in Washington for Berkeley students.
As a transfer student and immigrant, Ana is particularly passionate about creating pathways for students from underrepresented backgrounds to access leadership and policy opportunities. Her interests include immigration policy, digital communications, and community engagement. Following graduation, she hopes to return to Washington, D.C., to build a career in public service and advocacy on behalf of Latino communities.
