Carlos Eduardo Espina
Immigration Advocate and Digital Creator
Carlos Eduardo Espina is a prominent nonprofit director, legal scholar, and the most-followed Latino activist in the United States, dedicated to the socio-political upliftment of the immigrant community. Born in Uruguay and raised in Texas, Espina’s lifelong commitment to advocacy began in his youth, leading to the founding of impactful organizations such as Football for the Future and the Detained Refugee Solidarity Fund, which provided vital support to low-income youth and detained migrants. A graduate of Vassar College and the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law, he leverages his academic background and a massive digital platform of over 15 million followers to provide essential bilingual resources and advocacy. Today, Carlos continues to drive systemic change as the leader of Migrantes Unidos and a community center in Houston, bridging the gap between digital influence and grassroots humanitarian action.
